Claire graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2012 with a degree in finance. She attended Notre Dame with an Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) scholarship and commissioned as a second lieutenant upon graduation. Claire was selected for the Financial Management (FM) career field and earned academic honors at Financial Management Officer Training. She served as the financial management flight commander and as a budget officer at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts.

While in the Air Force, Claire held many additional duty positions, including Resiliency Officer for the Air Base Group, focusing on mental health and suicide prevention in the military. Claire was elected to the Company Grade Officer Council for three consecutive years, where she worked with other junior officers to improve base-wide morale and relations with the community. In her second year she was selected as the Air Force-wide FM Company Grade Officer of the Year.

Claire earned her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law in December 2020. During law school she was a Deans’ Fellow mentor and a member of the Business Law Society and the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law Society. Claire also volunteered with the Inside Books Project, a non-profit organization that responds to requests from inmates for reading and educational materials with a letter and selections from a library of donated books. While in law school, Claire interned with the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps where she assisted with contracts research, estate planning, family law, and criminal law. She also served as a jury member on numerous criminal courts-martial.

Claire is passionate about equal access to and comprehension of legal services and applying the law to improve lives. She is originally from Colorado, and enjoys spending time outdoors, playing and watching sports, and trying and learning new things.
